One year ago I decided to start this little blog, not knowing the crazy adventures it would have taken me on, I was excited yet a bit hesitate. Putting yourself out there for people to say everything from a photo of you isn’t flattering to what does she think she is doing. Well, a year later I have learned a lot about myself and the thing I’ve learned most is to just do your own thing. Being afraid of what people may think of what you are wearing or worrying about people not thinking you can write will just stop you from conquering your goals.
Thank you to all my readers and supporters who have made Neaux La Gal what it is today. I have a lot planned for the future from a new layout to new NLG series. I can’t wait to share another year with you guys.
Here are a few of my favorite NLG posts from this past year.
Funny story: This was my first NLG style post. The day I was supposed to take photos for the blog it unexpectedly started raining. Instead of going out shoot where I had planned, I had to find a new place…which lead me to my grandparents. Luckily the sun came out a bit and we were able to do a quick shoot. Not perfect, but that is something I’ve learned when it comes to blogging, be prepared for the unexpected and go with it.
(to the right) After out shoot was over my pawpaw started joining in on the fun and giving me some posing pointers. I couldn’t help by laugh the entire time and was so appreciative that I was able to share that moment with him.
This was one of my favorite posts but also most difficult. As much as I love my pup, Reaux, he was not the easiest at staying still.
My first post with a lot shorter hair.
One of my all time posts, not only because of what I am wearing but also because the background.
“Summer Weddings” This was the first shoot that I asked my boyfriend, Dillon, to participate in. We still laugh about these photos to this day because it looks like they could be our engagement photos or if he were running for mayor.
Ok, so it took me a while to get my food photography going, and to this day I am still working on it. But this recipe is so delicious.
Food photography skills slowly getting better!
Perfect Fall to Spring transition
When your boyfriend is your photographer, you take photos at a bar right? His brilliant idea for a SuperBowl Style post.
