Olive & Cream

Top: Chaser, Jeans: Citizens of Humanity, Shoes: Steve Madden, Bag: Banana Republic

This week I have begun…dun dun dun….spring cleaning my wardrobe. I’ve finally come to the conclusion that it does not matter how much I have in my closet, what matters is how much I love what is in my closet. I find myself wearing the same colors repeatedly, and I always tried to force to myself to buy colors I didn’t have or that I thought that I should wear.  But I have learned there is a reason that I don’t have any hot pinks or bright bright colors in my closet…because I never wear them. For instance, the bright pink flowy top I have hanging up in the back of my closet. It only comes out for Easter occasions or if I am having a “everything I wear is neutral moments.” I am not saying that I will never wear a yellow or hot pink hot again, but now I know that I don’t have to have it…because…well…I probably won’t wear it that much.  I feel the best and most put together when wearing neutrals so why fix it if it isn’t broken? That being said, I’m going to start investing in pieces that I will feel good in, not because I feel like I should wear them. Like these high-waisted cream jeans. I seriously want to wear them with everything in my closet ( well, everything that is left at least.)
